Our Curriculum

Ngunnawal Primary School prides itself on high expectations for all students within a supportive environment and enjoys the reward of excellent school outcomes, celebrating all aspects of student achievement. Our school motto "What you give comes back to you" is the foundation of our school pastoral care and values program. The school culture fosters authentic, positive partnerships to provide the best educational experience for every student.

The school has a focus on core learning with literacy, numeracy and student wellbeing as the main priorities. Our curriculum is comprehensive and centred on the following key learning areas:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science and Technology
  • Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Japanese
  • Music
  • Visual Arts
  • Drama
  • Personal Development and Health
  • Physical Education

Where possible, learning is integrated to encourage creative and critical thinking across different subject areas. Students engage in different units of work throughout the year which encapsulate the requirements of the Australian Curriculum.

All classroom programs are differentiated and therefore designed to cater for individual student needs.
