Ngunnawal Primary School

An ACT Public School

School Board

Membership of the School Board is a wonderful opportunity for parents to participate in the ongoing management of the school as well as contributing to the determination of our future directions. The School Board helps to foster productive relationships between parents and the school through actively involving parents in the development of school policies, the allocation of funds and the development of the curriculum of the school.

Board members require no previous experience to join. All that is required is an interest in the educational process and the well being of children, parents and staff of the school.

The School Board is elected annually and comprises of three parent representatives (one of whom is elected Chairperson), two teacher representatives, a Department of Education nominee and the Principal as the Executive Officer.  Teachers and parents are elected for two year terms.
